A growing and highly regarded independent accountancy practice is looking to appoint an Accounts Senior, Tax Senior or mixed Accounts & Tax Senior to join its friendly and supportive team. The firm works with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients, providing a full range of accounting, tax and advisory services. Your new role
This opportunity can be tailored to suit your experience and interests, whether your background is primarily in accounts, tax, or a combination of both.Depending on your skills, your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporation tax, personal tax and trust tax returns.
• Managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Preparing working papers and supporting schedules.
• Liaising directly with clients, HMRC and other stakeholders.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities and supporting advisory work.
• Reviewing client records and resolving queries.
• Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.

What you''ll need to succeed

• At least two years'' experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience in accounts preparation, tax compliance, or a mixed general practice role.
• AAT qualified, ACA, ACCA or ATT part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive and client-focused approach.
