Accounts ManagerLocation: Basildon, EssexSalary: 35,000 - 42,000Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pmBenefits:20 days holiday + Bank HolidaysPension SchemeParking on siteOur client, an established and growing construction business is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the Sales and Purchase Ledger function. This is a varied and hands on role, ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of multiple accounting processes. Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements, and supporting month-end and year-end accounting activities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the Sales and Purchase Ledger function, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting processes.Manage payroll processing, including statutory reporting and pension administration.Prepare and submit VAT returns and other HMRC reporting requirements.Reconcile bank accounts and oversee cashflow management.Conduct credit control activities and maintain accurate customer account records.Support budgeting and forecasting processes.Manage supplier payment runs, expenses and adhoc payments in line with company controls.Work closely with external accountants during month-end and ..... full job details .....
