Accounts Manager - Accountancy Practice

Location: Harlow, Essex - Hybrid 4 days per week office based Mosaic Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a successful and growing accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious qualified accounting professional with in excess of 5 years strong UK practice experience to take responsibility for a varied client portfolio whilst also managing and developing a team. The Role You will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services while building strong client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the practice. This role will appeal to a candidate who is keen to join an organisation where they will have a clear progression path to Director. Key responsibilities include: Managing a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. Overseeing the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and tax computations. Managing a team, planning and allocating work to ensure assignments are completed accurately, on time and within budget. Coaching, mentoring and developing Assistant Managers, Seniors and Trainees. Conducting 1:1s, appraisals and supporting progression within the team. Reviewing accounts and tax computations and resolving technical queries. Managing WIP, billing, recovery rates, fees and scope changes. Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice and identifying opportunities to add value.
