Their Leeds site is home to the UK''s largest in-house sewing and display team, where innovation meets craftsmanship.

The Role
As an Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller, you''ll play a key role in supporting the finance function while taking ownership of credit control activities. This is a varied, hands-on position where you''ll help maintain strong cash flow and build positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing customer accounts and monitoring overdue invoices
  • Chasing payments and resolving billing queries professionally
  • Allocating payments and reconciling sales ledgers
  • Carrying out credit checks and setting credit limits
  • Processing sales, purchase and self-billing invoices
  • Completing daily bank reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end processes and aged debtor reporting
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with admin
  • Escalating complex accounts when needed

About You

  • 2-3 years'' experience in a finance role (credit control essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
  • Good Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero)
  • Solid understanding of VAT, reconciliations and accounting basics
  • Proactive, reliable and able to meet deadlines
