Temporary Accounts Assistant Watford Hybrid (2 Days Office / 3 Days Home)Circa £35,000 - £38,000 Equivalent + Holiday PayAn established and well-respected business based in Watford is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant/ Accountant to join the finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied accounting role and is available to start at short notice.Working closely with an experienced finance team, you''ll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations, with a particular focus on reconciliations, financial controls and ensuring accurate financial records.Key Responsibilities:- Preparing and completing balance sheet reconciliations.- Investigating and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.- Supporting month-end close activities, including journals and accruals.- Assisting with cash and bank reconciliations.- Supporting intercompany reconciliations where required.- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls.- Assisting with process improvements and ad hoc finance projects.- Working closely with colleagues across finance and the wider business to resolve queries.The Person:- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role with strong reconciliation experience.- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to hit the ground running.- Good Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.- Strong attention to ..... full job details .....
