Accounts Assistant
The Role: UPVC Maintenance Supplies is a family run business selling window and door hardware to our customers across the UK from our trade counters in Birstall and Rotherham. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis (26 hours per week). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for flexible working hours within a supportive and dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial controls. Key Responsibilities: Managing credit control, including chasing outstanding payments, managing discrepancies and resolving disputes whilst maintaining strong customer relationships. Inputting purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner Raising and resolving invoice disputes with suppliers Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies Preparing and processing supplier payment runs Completing weekly bank reconciliations Carrying out daily sales reconciliations Managing and reconciling petty cash Providing general administrative support to meet the needs of the business Assisting with ad-hoc finance tasks as required What We re Looking For: Experience in a similar finance or accounts role Strong working knowledge of accounting processes and reconciliations Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy Good ..... full job details .....
