Purchase Ledger Clerk / AAT Accounts AssistantSalary: £30,000 - £32,000We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk / AAT Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Bridgend. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to broaden their accounting experience beyond purchase ledger responsibilities.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the purchase ledger function while supporting wider accounting activities. The role would particularly suit someone who is AAT qualified, studying towards AAT, or looking to further develop their accounting career within a supportive finance team.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.Match, batch, and code invoices in line with company procedures.Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.Prepare and process supplier payment runs.Manage supplier queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.Maintain accurate purchase ledger records and filing systems.Assist with month-end procedures, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.Support bank reconciliations and cashbook postings.Assist with sales ledger, credit control, and general accounts administration as required.Prepare journals and support the production of management information.Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal ..... full job details .....
