Accounts Assistant (Temporary - 6 Month Contract)Location: Darlaston, West MidlandsHours: 30 hours per week (5 hours per day)Contract: Temporary Contract - Initially 6 MonthsSalary: £14 per hourStart Date: Immediate Start AvailableAbout the RoleWe are currently looking for an experienced and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a temporary basis for an initial period of six months.Reporting directly to the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring financial records are accurately maintained and transactions are processed efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transactional finance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableProcess, verify and reconcile supplier invoices.Match invoices against purchase orders and investigate discrepancies.Reconcile supplier accounts to statements and resolve outstanding issues.Maintain accurate supplier records.Accounts ReceivableGenerate and issue customer invoices.Record incoming customer receipts.Assist with credit control activities, including chasing overdue payments.Provide copy invoices and account information to customers as required.Bank ReconciliationsRecord and post daily bank transactions.Maintain accurate and up-to-date bank balances.Complete month-end bank reconciliations.Data Entry and JournalsPrepare and post journal entries within the ..... full job details .....
