Accounts Assistant
Hours: 5 days per week/ 3 days after probation period Location: Stratford (in office) The Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance and Accounts Lead to take ownership of our finance function and provide clear, timely and commercially useful financial information to the business. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day financial management, reporting and financial controls of the organisation. We are looking for someone who can work independently, bring structure and accuracy to the finance function, and provide insight that supports business decision-making. The role is initially expected to be five days per week while in probation period, upon completion this may have to be three days per week. Key Responsibilities Produce timely monthly management accounts and variance analysis. Prepare and maintain cash-flow forecasts. Monitor budget versus actual performance. Track programme and departmental profitability. Reconcile funding income against programme delivery. Reporting to directors and accountants. Manage debtors Oversee payroll Complete balance-sheet reconciliations, accruals and deferred income. Maintain robust supplier and payment controls. Ensure the business is prepared for year-end accounts, audit and funding-related financial checks. Provide clear financial reporting and commentary to the leadership team.
