Accounts Assistant

This role offers the opportunity to build broad finance experience across reconciliations, financial reporting, VAT submissions, journals, and multi-entity accounting, while supporting a fast-paced finance function. Alongside these responsibilities, you will also play a key role in payroll administration, ensuring accurate processing and acting as a point of contact for payroll-related queries. Client Details This opportunity is with a well-established organisation in the energy services sector. The successful candidate will join a collaborative finance team, gaining exposure to a broad range of finance responsibilities including reporting, reconciliations, journals, and payroll administration. Description Prepare and post financial journals across multiple entities, ensuring accurate month-end reporting. Complete bank, credit card, and control account reconciliations to support financial accuracy. Manage VAT, PAYE, and CIS submissions in line with statutory requirements. Support purchase and sales ledger activities and wider finance operations. Validate and process payroll data, including timesheets, overtime, holidays, and absences. Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries while supporting finance projects and team initiatives. Profile Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or payroll administration role.
