To support the finance function with day-to-day activities, assisting with month-end process, reporting and maintaining accurate financial records across the business.Client DetailsThis opportunity is with a well-established organisation known for its commitment to excellence and providing a supportive environment for its employees.DescriptionSupport the preparation monthly of monthly management accounts including posting journal, accruals and prepayments.Assist with balance sheet reconciliation.Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings.Assist in the production of reports to the Boards of Directors.Assist with year-end audit preparation, including supporting schedules and information request.Maintenance of the fixed asset register.To contribute to the development of policies and procedures.Proactively support the implementation of new systems and help improving those in place.To assist the Group Accountant in the preparation of ad-hoc projects and reporting.To ensure that all bookkeeping, documentation, records and systems are accurate and kept up to date.ProfileA successful Accounts Assistant should have:Previous experience in an Accounting or Finance roleStrong understanding of basic accounting principles and practicesExperience with MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations would be an advantageStrong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs), Word and SharePointA professional, diligent and approachable ..... full job details .....
