Accounts Assistant

As an Accounts Assistant in Wythenshawe, you will help keep the Accounting & Finance function organised within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector. You will work on day-to-day management accounting tasks that give the business clear, accurate financial information.

Description

• Prepare regular management accounting information to support clear financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure figures are ready for review.
• Process accounting entries and reconcile balances to keep records up to date.
• Help produce monthly reports that give teams visibility of financial performance.
• Investigate variances and provide clear supporting information for finance colleagues.
• Work with colleagues across Accounting & Finance to resolve queries promptly.
• Use finance systems and spreadsheets to organise data and improve reporting accuracy.
• Support the day-to-day running of finance activities within the Industrial / Manufacturing business.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant you will have knowledge of -

• Confident working at the transactional level including Accounts Payable.
• Confidence working with financial data, reconciliations and accounting entries.
• Good spreadsheet skills and the ability to work accurately with detailed figures.
• Ability to investigate variances and present findings clearly.
• Experience using finance systems to maintain organised financial records.
• A practical approach to managing priorities and completing tasks to agreed deadlines.
