Someone special is retiring soon . She s been the backbone of the office for years, and now it s time to hand the baton to someone new . Could that be you? As Accounts Assistant, you ll take care of the day-to-day numbers. Purchase ledger sales ledger nominal accounts VAT returns Payroll. A bit of everything, really. You ll also help with general admin that keeps the wider business running well. The business is moving over to Xero, if you ve used it before, great. If not, it s one of the easier systems to learn and you ll have support while you get used to it. You ll join a small office team of three, working closely with two others in a bright, open-plan space. It s a down-to-earth environment where people trust each other to get on with the job. The work is steady, and there s a lot of pride in doing things properly. This Accounts Assistant role reports into the Commercial Director. You ll also liaise with the company s external accountant, helping make sure everything is accurate and up to date. It s a varied role, ideal for someone who likes ownership and enjoys supporting a team. What s in it for you as Accounts Assistant? £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience 20 days holiday to start, rising with length of service. Plus all the usual bank holidays.
