Our client is a dynamic, medium-sized firm of chartered accountants, business management experts, and corporate and private client advisors, based in the vibrant heart of London’s West End. They work across a broad range of exciting sectors, from high-end restaurants and luxury property to global corporations and household names in music, entertainment, and sport. Their diverse client base brings variety, challenge, and inspiration to everything they do.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of accounts preparation, including reviewing financial statements and the work of both in-house and offshore team members

Guide and support junior team members by providing clear feedback and updates to senior managers and directors

Delegate tasks effectively, giving clear instructions and managing team workloads

Monitor job schedules to ensure deadlines and targets are consistently met

Handle client issues as they arise and assist team members with routine client matters

Step in to prepare accounts when needed

Support management and other ad hoc reporting as required

Requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified

At least 5 years of experience working in accountancy, ideally within a public practice environment

Proficient in a range of accounting software, including CaseWare Accounts, QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage

Solid technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and risk understanding, with the judgment to know when to escalate complex issues

Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with care and discretion

Proficient in IT and confident using accounting and business software

Sharp attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy

Committed, adaptable, and team-oriented, willing to support colleagues, delegate effectively, and take ownership of tasks and projects
