Accounts Assistant Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts professional to step into an Assistant Manager position where you will take real ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead assignments and support the development of more junior team members. You will sit at the point between strong technical delivery and client management, giving you the opportunity to build on your existing experience while taking on more responsibility and becoming a key member of the wider team. What You''ll Be Doing You will manage your own portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for planning assignments, managing deadlines and ensuring work is delivered to a high standard. Your role will include: Managing and reviewing accounts and tax work across a varied portfolio Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing constructive feedback Preparing and reviewing medium sized sets of accounts and tax returns Supporting clients with financial reporting, VAT and general accounting matters Identifying opportunities for additional services and adding value for clients Developing strong relationships with clients and gaining a genuine understanding of their businesses Supporting managers and partners with more complex technical matters Helping to train and develop junior colleagues Taking an active role in team management, including performance reviews and supporting development plans Getting involved in interviews and ..... full job details .....
