ASSISTANT MANAGER
Boutique firm of chartered accountants are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to join their London team. This firm attend to the affairs of many individuals and companies in the international entertainment, media industry and provide niche specialist advice in that sector. RESPONSIBILITIES
Review book-keeping, VAT returns and management accountsReview financial statements and sole trade accountsReview corporation tax returnsDrafting advice with the support of Managers and DirectorsHave a good understanding of personal tax and be involved in annual personal tax filings for your clientsHave a good understanding of disclosuresManage the affairs of a small portfolio of clientsBeing first point of contact for your portfolio of clientsLiaise with clients on their deadlines and other requirementsAssist Managers/Directors with all deadlines including Accounts, Tax, VAT, Payroll and Company SecretarialEnsure you understand what the clients'' principal activities and jobs are (e.g. for a company, what services they provide)Communicating with clients for information where necessaryBuilding strong relationships with clientsAssist clients with ad hoc questions in relation to financial matters including the interpretation of resultsAssist clients on the setting up and development of internal systems and controls, including implementing suitable accounting softwareAble to relay with confidence knowledge on tax and other affairs to reassure clientsCreate and implement new processes to ensure the smooth running of the practiceAssist junior members of staff with their career developmentAssist with internal training for staffREQUIREMENTS
Have a professional qualification (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)Solid public practice experienceMinimum of 2 years post qualified experienceCommitted to maintaining technical knowledge to a high levelCompetent using MS Products - Outlook, Word and ExcelCompetent using XeroExperience of Iris, Alpha, Quickbooks and Sage 50 would be usefulHave a good awareness of technology in generalSelf-motivated and able to apply relevant skills to new scenariosGood people and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure with accuracy and focusDemonstrates excellent analytical and research skillsON OFFER
