Accounts Assistant The Role:We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Accounts Assistant focusing on the Purchase Ledger, to support the day-to-day running of our Accounts Department. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working across purchase ledger and wider accounts support. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments, and effective communication with suppliers, subcontractors, and our internal team.Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities: - Control of purchase ledger on Sage 200 including allocations, statement reconciliations and auditing nominal coding- Verify subcontractors and carry out CIS returns- Process and record supplier and subcontractor invoices accurately and in a timely manner- Resolve invoice queries with suppliers and internal departments- Prepare and process supplier payment runs in line with agreed terms- Maintain accurate supplier account records and set up new suppliers- Ensure correct VAT treatment and compliance with company procedures- Assist with month-end processes, including accruals and reconciliations- Monitor and manage the purchase ledger ..... full job details .....
