The business offers a collaborative working environment where you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function. Your new roleAs an Accounts Assistant / Sales Ledger Clerk, you will be working within a small finance team, taking ownership of the sales ledger function whilst also supporting wider accounting activities.Key responsibilities will include: Maintaining the sales ledger and ensuring customer accounts are accurate and up to date Posting and allocating cash receipts on a daily basis Managing transactions across multiple bank accounts Performing bank reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records Supporting credit control activities where required Assisting with purchase ledger duties during busy periods or to provide team cover Producing reports and analysing financial data using Excel Using Xero accounting software to manage day-to-day accounting processes Supporting month-end processes and general ..... full job details .....
