Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support financial operations for our client within the education sector. This hybrid role, based in Bristol, offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and mission-driven environment. This is a 2 month role with a likely chance of it being extended & immediate availability is essential!

Key responsibilities:

• Track incoming payments and ensure accurate allocation.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage aged debt reporting and support credit control.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
• Create transactions in the company ledger and maintain documentation.
• Raise, send, and process invoices efficiently.
• Reconcile company accounts, including bank and supplier statements.
• Chase outstanding payments professionally and persistently.

What you''ll need to succeed:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (education sector experience is preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills, especially when liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
