Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper

We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join a dynamic entertainment company based in Manchester, with the option for fully remote work. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director and wider team in a growing business producing concerts and live theatre productions worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Xero accounting system, ensuring full use of its functions
• Ensure approval processes are accurate and timely
• Allocate costs to projects within Xero
• Perform daily reconciliations of banking and expenses
• Assist with preparation of management accounts, including accruals and prepayments
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Work with the wider team to ensure consistency and compliance with financial policies

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar accounts or bookkeeping role
• Advanced working knowledge of Xero
• Strong understanding of Excel and financial reconciliation processes
• Understanding of management accounts
• Ability to manage relationships effectively across the business
• Ambition and drive to grow within the role
• Exceptional communication skills
