Accounts Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Assistant (Sales and Purchase Ledger)Location: Aylesbury (Office Based)Contract Details: Permanent, Full-TimeHours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (1 hour lunch break)Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 per annum, depending on experienceHoliday entitlement: 23 days annual leave plus bank holidaysResponsibilities:Sales LedgerProcess and manage all sales invoices accurately and efficientlyUpdate job records and maintain invoice filing systemsPost customer receipts and maintain Sage recordsUndertake credit control activities, chasing overdue payments and monitoring aged debtProcess new credit account applications, including credit checksRespond to customer account queries and maintain excellent service levelsPurchase LedgerMatch supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery notesProcess authorised supplier invoices onto Sage using correct nominal codesInvestigate and monitor disputed invoicesReconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepanciesProcess employee expenses and company credit card transactionsAssist with supplier account maintenance and payment reconciliationsSkills and Attributes:Previous Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger experience is essentialExperience using Sage account software is beneficialStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organisational and time management skillsConfident communicator with a professional telephone mannerAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectivelyProactive approach with strong ..... full job details .....
