This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career within accountancy practice and gain broad exposure across both accounts and tax. You will work closely with an experienced team and develop your technical knowledge whilst working with a varied portfolio of small and medium sized businesses and individuals. The role will initially be predominantly office based in Liphook, with the opportunity to work from home 1 to 2 days per week once established in the role. There will also be occasional travel to the firm''s Alton office. The Role As an Accounts and Tax Trainee, you will gain hands on experience across accounts preparation, bookkeeping and both business and personal tax. Typical responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Supporting the preparation of accounts working papers and reconciliations Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate accounting records Supporting the preparation of corporation tax returns Assisting with personal tax returns Preparing and reviewing basic VAT returns Supporting clients ..... full job details .....
