Accounts Analyst

Your new companyHays are delighted to be supporting a well-established organisation in the recruitment of an Accounts Analyst to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to further develop their accounting and analytical skills within a supportive and collaborative environment. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and the business operates a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, whilst offering exposure to a broad range of accounting and reporting activities. The offices are based in Port Glasgow and can be accessed by public transport and there is also on-site parking. Your new roleReporting to the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting month-end processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Working closely with colleagues across the wider finance function, your responsibilities will include: Preparing and posting recurring and standard journal entries Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances Supporting accruals postings and journal reclassifications Performing data validation checks across financial systems and reporting tools Assisting with month-end close activities and finance reporting packs Supporting the preparation and maintenance of close documentation Working collaboratively with colleagues across Accounts Payable, Accounts ..... full job details .....
