Accounting Manager

The Manager position will offer an established and qualified Practice Accountant the opportunity to be the conduit between the owner of the business and the established team beneath them. This role can grow to Equity Partner (for the right candidate).

Our client is a well established accountancy practice in Sittingbourne. They have been established over many years and they service a high quality client base.

Description

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and business advisory services.
• Lead and review the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing commercial advice and building long-term relationships.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop junior team members (team of 6), supporting their technical and professional growth.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client portfolios and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, firm procedures, and quality control standards while managing deadlines and workflow effectively.

Profile

A successful Manager should have:

• Several years post qualified experience (ACCA/ACA).
• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Significant career within an independent accountancy practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Job Offer

• Salary dependent on the level of experience, ranging from -55,000 to -70,000.
• Permanent position within an accountancy organisation.
• Opportunities to contribute to a well-established accounting and finance team.
