Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well-established accountancy practice in Watford to recruit an experienced Temporary Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountancy professional looking to join a friendly and supportive team, providing valuable assistance during a busy period.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and will be confident managing a varied portfolio of clients while maintaining a high standard of service.
As a Temporary Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a range of clients.
Producing management accounts and financial reports.
Preparing VAT returns and assisting with tax compliance.
Supporting the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns.
Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide financial support.
Assisting with bookkeeping and reviewing financial records.
Supporting the wider team with ad hoc accounting duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and UK accounting standards.
Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently and adapt quickly within a new environment.
