Job Description - AccountantThe Accountant plays a key role within the finance department, providing support across financial and accounting activities and reporting functions. The position focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data, ensuring robust record-keeping, controlling accounts, and complying with regulatory requirements.The role also contributes to the preparation of financial statements, analysis of financial data, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, auditors, and internal/external stakeholders. The objective is to maintain financial transparency, mitigate risks, and drive financial efficiency across the organisation.Main TasksPreparation of monthly management accounts including revenue, cost of goods sold, margin, and operational cost analysisPreparation of HFM reporting, including reconciliations to underlying ERP accountsResolution of queries to reduce variances with internal and external stakeholdersMonitoring shared service centre outputWorking with the shared service centre to reduce debt with internal and external stakeholdersProduction of management information reportsLeading the preparation of audit and tax documentation for all UK and Ireland entitiesImplementing new or changing accounting and reporting requirements as directed by CorporateConducting comprehensive financial performance analysis to identify business trends and key drivers for budget achievementPreparing and analysing accounts and KPIs for actuals, ..... full job details .....
