Accountant

As the Accountant with our client in Wigan, you''ll handle the day-to-day financial operations within the Manufacturing industry, ensuring smooth and accurate financial reporting. This role plays a key part in supporting the business by managing budgets, analysing financial data, and providing insights to aid decision-making.

Description

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Produce financial forecasts and reports to assist in strategic planning.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial performance and cost control.
• Oversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to queries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions where appropriate.
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.

Profile

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

• Professional qualifications in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience in the field.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving financial issues.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from -34,000 to -40,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Hybrid working available after six months (three days in the office, two days from home).
• 24 days of annual leave plus your birthday off.
• Working hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, with a early finish on Fridays.
