AccountantExeter, Devon£40,000 - £45,000 per annumOur client, a growing and well-established professional services business, is seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of its client accounting function on a full-time, permanent basis.As the Accountant, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of client accounting services across a varied portfolio, while developing and supporting a small team. Working closely with senior stakeholders and clients, you will combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a proactive and personable approach, helping to strengthen processes and support the continued growth of the business.This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit and forward-thinking team where you will have genuine autonomy, responsibility, and scope for long-term progression.The responsibilities:Lead and oversee the client accounting functionManage reconciliations across multiple client accountsPrepare management accounts and yeare-end accounts, along with various other financial reportingOversee VAT and MTD submissionsManage purchase ledger and supplier paymentsReview financial information and resolve discrepanciesSupport and develop junior finance team membersImprove processes, systems, and financial controlsThe candidate:AAT Level 4 qualified, studying towards, or qualified by experienceStrong practical accounting experience within a client-focused environmentStrong double-entry bookkeeping knowledge/experienceExtensive experience using Xero and ..... full job details .....
