Practice Accountant Location: Ferndown, DorsetSalary: Up to £30,000 DOEHours: Monday Friday, 9:00am 5:15pmJob Type: Full-time, PermanentThe Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing accountancy practice in Ferndown that is looking to add an Accountant to its busy team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accountancy practice experience who is looking to continue developing their career within a supportive environment offering study support and genuine progression opportunities.Working closely with a Client Director, you will support a varied portfolio of clients, preparing accounts, VAT returns and Corporation Tax Returns while developing strong client relationships.Key Responsibilities Prepare statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.Prepare and submit VAT returns.Prepare and submit Corporation Tax Returns.Work from both manual accounting records and accounting software.Review client financial records for accuracy, completeness and compliance.Manage day-to-day client queries and requests.Liaise directly with clients by telephone, email and Microsoft Teams.Ensure client records and internal systems remain accurate and up to date.Follow up with clients for outstanding information and documentation.Work closely with colleagues to ensure deadlines and service standards are achieved.Manage your workload effectively within a busy practice environment.
