Assistant Accountant job in Gloucestershire


Your new role

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assisting with the production of year-end financial statements.
• Processing bookkeeping records using cloud-based accounting software.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Assisting with management accounts preparation.
• Reconciling bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Maintaining accurate client records and working papers.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and answer routine queries.
• Supporting senior team members with ad hoc accounting assignments.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

What you''ll need to succeed

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice or finance environment.
• AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the profession.
