Accountant

Accountant - Wilmslow - Permanent - up to -50,000 DOE

Our client are a reputable and trusted provider in their field. You will be joining a team of 6, responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role will see you working either full time or 4 days a week.

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients
• Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting
• Completing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
• Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• Liaising with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries
• Maintaining accurate financial records and using accounting software
• Supporting senior team members on audits
• Managing a high volume of client accounts, building strong relationships

About you:

• Ideally part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or qualified by experience)
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice is preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication skills and ability to build client relationships
• Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
