Accountant Leatherhead £48,000 - £55,000 plus benefits and hybrid working Polish, Flemish or German language skills highly desirable An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join a successful privately owned Group with a growing portfolio of businesses across the UK and Europe, including operations in Belgium, Poland and Germany. Based at the Group''s Head Office in Leatherhead, you will join a small finance team of around ten people and work across three of the Group''s businesses. This is a broad role, with a key focus on international VAT and the preparation of complex quarterly VAT returns across several European jurisdictions. The businesses operate in a high-volume, multi-currency environment, with products sourced and imported from a number of countries. You will need to be comfortable working with international transactions and differing VAT and reporting requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing quarterly VAT returns across a number of European jurisdictions and ensuring local reporting requirements and deadlines are met Managing high volumes of transactions across different currencies Ensuring the correct VAT treatment of imported products and cross-border transactions Helping to maintain appropriate financial governance and controls Supporting the wider accounting requirements of three businesses within the Group Assisting with statutory reporting Supporting payroll for the UK team Working with Xero and other cloud-based ..... full job details .....
