At D Hall Renewables Ltd, we deliver safe, reliable wind energy projects worldwide.  Following a period of continued growth, we are now looking for a motivated Part Time Accountant to join our dynamic financial team based out of our Fife office!

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organisation through precise accounting practices and effective financial management.

As a key player in our finance department, you will manage and support the current financial function, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced environment. This position is perfect for motivated individuals looking to apply their accounting skills in a flexible, part-time (25 hours) capacity that makes a real impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Xero and Dext accounting software.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently, assisting with making timely payments, as well as collating, processing, approving invoices.
• Support the payroll function during busy periods and holidays.
• Assist with financial reporting, including preparing statements and reconciling accounts to ensure data integrity.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by verifying balances and preparing necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with team members on financial projects, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards related to financial accounting.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial processes and systems for better efficiency.

 

Experience

• Proven accountancy experience.
• Proven experience working with Xero accounting software as well as Dext.
• Significant experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Knowledge of financial management principles and practices within a professional setting.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse financial data accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor or support colleagues in accounting is essential.
