We currently have a vacancy for a Accountancy Admin Assistant to join our Sales Team.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Sales Team as an Accountancy Admin Assistant. In this role, you will play a key role in the administration and reconciliation of MCard products and services.

You will work closely with various internal departments within the Combined Authority, including the Travel Centres and Finance teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the network. You will also work closely with external corporate customers. The Sales Team operate Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

The Role

Reporting into the Sales Team Leader your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administration of Retail Sales, which is predominately represented by MCard revenue. • Co-ordination of the Corporate and Business MCard Scheme including raising of invoices and the correct allocation of sales information to the Prepaid Ticket Pool.
  • Administer a variety of processes using financial management systems.
  • Reconciliation of WYCA’s Prepayments Bank Account including the identification of any differences at month end.
  • Responsible for Travel Centre sales information, including checking and verifying overnight downloads, reconciling sales figures, banking and identifying any differences. 2
  • Allocating revenues against debtor accounts, pursuing outstanding invoices with the debtor and the production of Monthly Debtor reports
  • Administration of banking chargebacks.

About You

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:

  • Good understanding of financial systems, bookkeeping and finance function
  • Good analytical skills to solve problems and produce management information.
  • Good communication skills and committed to supporting a changing retail environment.
  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office, particularly in creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
