Account Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a market leading company based in Oldham. Specialising in the manufacture of mechanical/hydraulic products for a global client base they are now seeking a Sales Account Manager to join their team. The markets they supply into include nuclear, power and energy, marine, and defence, which are extremely buoyant at this time. In this role you will be responsible for a territory remit where you will be tasked with maintaining and growing business within a number of large key accounts. This will require good technical knowledge, as well as strong commercial acumen. Key Responsibilities: Account Management and Business Development Delivering sales targets and managing opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award Develop and execute growth plans for strategic accounts and market sectors. Manage relationships with end users, engineering organisations, distributors, contractors, and strategic partners and conduct regular customer visits. Build relationships with engineering, procurement, operations, and senior management stakeholders. Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, and long-term supply arrangements. Support marketing campaigns, exhibitions and industry events. Develop new business opportunities within assigned international territories and establish strategic partnerships.
