Responsibilities
Optimise revenue and profitability of confirmed programmes/projects through good financial controlEnsures estimates and agreed specifications are in place and regularly reviews to identify any scope creepCan critique estimates effectively as their Account DirectorIs confident in justifying budgets to clientsMakes sure that the right people are doing the right jobs as their Account DirectorGenerate growth on the accountsLooks 3-6 months ahead to develop future programmes and revenue generationIdentifies and sells in growth opportunities on the account as their Account DirectorActively seeks new programmes to replace projects which are dragging or have been cancelled / postponed as their Account DirectorUnderstands the client''s planning process to maximise opportunities for growthCreate med ed strategy and develop programmes that achieve required behavioural changeHas a firm grip on the disease area and key data and competitor landscape to enable effective discussions with client / KOLsUnderstands the brand strategy, can take/restate a brief, develop and sell in a med ed strategy as their Account DirectorEnsures the final delivery of content meets objectives as compellingly as possibleLead KOL management as their Account DirectorCan engage with opinion leaders, brief them and manage pushback and challenging discussionsPlans for and manages delegation of KOL discussions / briefings to other members of the teamLead planning and delivery of the client programmesTakes responsibility to ensure programmes are completed on time and on budgetKnows what is feasible in terms of deadlines and budgets as their Account DirectorLeads the team to ensure agency and client standards / compliance processes are consistently observed and followedIdentify and recommend improvements in work processes as their Account DirectorEnsures Agency reviews take placeLeadership,Demonstrates and instils their values in delivering medical education programmesCan effectively brief and lead their team, delegating delivery and avoiding micromanagementRegularly (eg weekly) reviews progress with the teamsInspires trust from their team as their Account DirectorKnows when and how to delegate up and downLine management and team development as their Account DirectorIdentifies individuals'' development areas and helps and supports on the job training and development of team membersEstablishes clear development journeys for linees through the appraisal and mentoring processResource forward planningRegularly review progress to identify pressure points and ensure that the necessary resources are in place including editorial support and freelancersInputting into long-term recruitment planning and participation in interview processInfluence the senior client team re programme shape/focus as their Account DirectorUnderstands client''s motivations, priorities and frustrationsProactively looks at how they add value for the clientUnderstands the dynamic between different client stakeholders and develops a client contact plan (to share with internal team)Seen as an integral member of the brand team by the client who regularly seeks their counselCompetently manages client/project issues with input from Director as their Account DirectorCan handle difficult conversations with client ..... full job details .....
