Account Analyst

Job Title: Accounts Analyst

Location: Norwich

Job Type: Monday to Friday( Friday half day)

37.5 hours per week

Pay Rate: 17.43-17.94 per hour

Temporary role till 31st December 2025

Position 1 Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Analyst to support financial operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and transaction management. The role ensures compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process invoices
• Perform monthly account reconciliations
• Monitor and track payments
• Assist with month-end close and audits
• Prepare financial reports and statements
• Conduct variance and financial data analysis
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Recommend process and performance improvements

Previous Experience :
Essential:

• Proven experience in accounting or financial analysis
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel, financial software, and MS Office
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis
• High attention to detail and strong numerical skills

Desirable:

• Progressing towards CIMA/ACCA qualification
• Experience with SAP, SAGE, or financial shared services
• Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros), PowerPoint
• Familiar with FP&A tools and financial reporting
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Qualifications:

• Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA
• CPA or CFA is a plus
