Accommodation Support Officer

JOB PURPOSETo assist the Private Sector Housing Initiatives Manager and other staff within the team in managing the temporary accommodation provided by the Council to homeless households.To provide support and assistance to the team to ensure an effective and comprehensive housing management service is provided to the temporary accommodation used by the Authority.To provide an effective and responsive response to service requests from clients.To generally participate in the overall planning and development of the homelessness service.KEY RESULT AREAS Accommodation Support Officer To be responsible for the smooth running of administrative systems relating to the Housing Supply and Regulation Service with a particular emphasis upon the systems surrounding the provision of temporary accommodation to homeless households.To collect and collate management information and statistics and to provide them to managers as directed.To act as a point of contact for maintenance support and direction.To support the team in the procurement and booking of emergency accommodation and to be responsible for the administrative aspects of placing clients into the accommodation. To act as a point of contact for clients in temporary accommodation alongside other colleagues in the team.To assist with the operation, monitoring and review of financial processes, such as Housing Benefit claims, rent payments and invoicing and ensuring that accurate records are maintained.To assist in the day-to-day ..... full job details .....
