You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providersThis special hospital provides care to men and women with mental health conditions in a modern and purpose-built hospital with low and medium secure environments**To be considered for this position you must hold a Full GMC Registration**As the Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDTAttend SMT morning handoverAssess referrals to determine suitability for admissionUndertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis and treatmentParticipate in ward rounds, clinical audit and quality improvement workChair and oversee CPA reviewsLead the implementation of risk assessment, risk managementParticipate in clinical governance and ensure implementation of policies and protocols.Work and liaise with external agenciesWrite and supervise various reports including Mental Health Act tribunals and managers’ reports and attend hearingsThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:On the Specialty Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with forensic experienceAble to lead and work within multi-disciplinary teamsTo be in good CPD standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and to have had an appraisal within the last yearThe successful Psychiatrist will receive an excellent competitive salary up to £150,000 per annum.
