Lecturer A Level History (0.6 FTE)About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-focused Lecturer in A Level History to join our successful and supportive Humanities department on a 0.6 FTE basis. The successful candidate will be passionate about History education and committed to delivering high-quality teaching that inspires students to achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer or an ambitious early career teacher looking to contribute to a thriving sixth form environment with a strong academic ethos. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective A Level History lessons. Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements. Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and support. Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities. Maintain accurate student records and participate in departmental meetings. Support students academic achievement and personal development. Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and learning. The Successful Candidate Will Have A relevant degree in History or a related subject. A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS or QTLS status. Experience teaching A Level History. Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
