HIGHWAYS MAINTENANCE | POTHOLE & ROAD REPAIRS

Location: Hemel Hempstead & Surrounding Areas
Hours: Monday – Friday | 07:00 – 16:00 (Typically 8–9 hours per day)
Payment Options: PAYE or Umbrella
Position: HGV Class 2 / 7.5T Driver – Highways Team

Vortex Recruitment is currently seeking reliable, hardworking HGV Class 2 / 7.5T Drivers to join our client's busy highways maintenance team, working across Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to be part of a team helping to maintain and improve our local roads.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Working as part of a two-person highways maintenance crew.

• Attending road defects, including potholes and carriageway repairs.

• Assisting with tarmac laying, resurfacing and general civils work.

• Driving the vehicle between locations and supporting the team with physical labour.

• Helping to ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.

• ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Category C Driving Licence

• Digital Tachograph Card

• Driver CPC Card

• CSCS Card

• NRSWA Qualification

• A positive attitude and willingness to undertake physical, hands-on work.

Whilst working through Vortex Recruitment, we offer the choice of PAYE or Umbrella payment, with the Umbrella hourly rate inclusive of holiday pay.
