Job Title: 7.5T Driver (Contract)Location: Wimbledon, LondonJob Type: Temporary / ContractSalary: 20.50 per hourJob DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable, experienced 7.5T Driver for a temporary contract position operating out of our Wimbledon base. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely from South West London to a single destination, ensuring a timely drop-off.This position operates under a Driver CPC exemption, meaning No Driver CPC is required to apply.Key Responsibilities- Safe Driving: Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle on assigned single-drop routes originating from Wimbledon.- Single Drop-off and Delivery: Securely unload cargo at the designated destination point and maintain accurate delivery documentation.- Tachograph Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with drivers'' hours regulations and log journeys accurately using a digital tachograph card (if applicable).- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections, report mechanical issues immediately, and keep the vehicle clean.- Cargo Security: Properly load, secure, and strap cargo to prevent damage during transit.Requirements- Licence: Valid UK Driving Licence with Category C1 entitlement (7.5-tonne). Grandfather rights accepted.- Qualifications: Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
