36.5 hours per week, Term time only plus ONE week
Purpose Of PostTo work as a member of the Inclusion Team, to support the Head of Years and other Managers within the school.
Key Tasks
Main ResponsibilitiesBe the second point of contact after Form Tutors for students and parents, especially regarding the School Behaviour Management Policy.Assist the Head of Years for a designated Year Group.Prioritise issues arising from contacts with students and parents to minimise disruption to learning and ensure issues are dealt with efficiently and at the right level.Support the personal, social and academic development of students and promote wellbeing within the specified Key Stage.Liaise with appropriate members of the year team to implement positive behaviour management strategies.Work as an active member of a tutorial team to support colleagues in setting high expectations for standards of behaviour, dress and achievement.Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.Assist in maintaining links with home and with internal and external support services involved in student welfare (including alternative provisions, work-related opportunities, FE, HE, UCAS).Work with students, the careers adviser and other agencies to guide students towards successful applications to FE, HE and UCAS opportunities.
Other Specific Duties:Attendance, punctuality and uniform: liaise with the attendance officer on first-day calls for at-risk groups; monitor punctuality and assist with detentions for lateness; support the dress code policy.Behaviour Management: supervise after-school and lunchtime detention; support senior staff with students not in class; liaise with staff on actions for excluded learners; organise and administer conduct and attainment reports; monitor the daily report system; liaise with external agencies as needed; supervise excluded students; collate information on student successes.Communication: maintain conduct logs; attend meetings; manage re-admissions/bullying logs; organise school photographs and events; perform administrative tasks; liaise with parents/carers and support agencies; support bullying issues; organise information for inclusion meetings; order resources; invigilate exams; supervise trips and clubs; report safeguarding concerns; undertake other tasks as requested by Sixth Form; participate in performance management and training.

Conditions Of Service
Governed by the National Agreement on Pay and Conditions of Service, supplemented by local conditions as agreed by the governors.
