St Giles Surgery, located in Camberwell SE5, is looking for a 6 session salaried GP, with a view to possible partnership. The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive and positive practice team. We are a training practice and regularly host trainee placements. You will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.Responsibilities

Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.Providing health education.Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards.Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.Person Specification / Qualifications

Registration and certification included in the NHSE list of Medical Practitioners per section 91 of the NHS Act 2006.Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register.Be a Newly Qualified GP having obtained your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice within the last two years, verifying completion of the postgraduate training required to practice independently.Additional requirements
