The role is heavily focused on 3rd line troubleshooting, infrastructure administration and operational support, covering Windows Server, VMware, networking and hybrid infrastructure. Essential Technical Experience from the 3 Line Support Engineer: Strong Windows Server experience. Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP. VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter. Networking knowledge - TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs and firewalls. Experience supporting on-premises and virtualised infrastructure. Infrastructure monitoring, backup and disaster recovery. Strong 3rd line troubleshooting and root cause analysis. PowerShell or scripting/automation experience.
