The role is heavily focused on 3rd line troubleshooting, infrastructure administration and operational support, covering Windows Server, VMware, networking and hybrid infrastructure. Essential Technical Experience from the 3rd Line Support Engineer: Strong Windows Server experience. Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP. VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter. Networking knowledge – TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs and firewalls. Experience supporting on-premises and virtualised infrastructure. Infrastructure monitoring, backup and disaster recovery. Strong 3rd line troubleshooting and root cause analysis. PowerShell or scripting/automation experience.
