3rd Line Engineer

to join our growing Birmingham-based team. This is a senior technical role where you''ll handle escalated issues, assist with project delivery, and act as a key technical point of contact for our clients.You’ll be working across a variety of platforms and environments—supporting everything from on-prem infrastructure to modern cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and a solid MSP background.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advanced (3rd line) technical support across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and end-user systemsTroubleshoot and resolve complex IT incidents and service requestsAct as an escalation point for the 1st and 2nd line teamsDeploy and support Microsoft 365 and Azure-based solutionsMaintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure – switches, firewalls, routers, VPNsDeliver and support IT infrastructure projects (e.g. server migrations, cloud adoption, network upgrades)Create and maintain clear documentation of systems, processes, and client environmentsLiaise with vendors and third parties where required to resolve issues or implement solutionsVisit client sites when necessary to perform installations, upgrades, or troubleshootingWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience in a

3rd line support role , ideally within an MSP environmentStrong technical skills across Microsoft technologies including

Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, IntuneSolid knowledge of

Windows Server environments , virtualisation (Hyper-V/VMware), and networking fundamentalsHands-on experience with network equipment (switches, firewalls, routers – ideally Cisco, Ubiquiti, or DrayTek)Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery and security solutionsExcellent problem-solving ability and a proactive, can-do attitudeStrong communication skills and a client-focused approachFull UK driving licenceCompetitive salary (based on experience)Hybrid working (office, home, and client site as needed)Ongoing training and development opportunitiesSupportive team culture in a fast-growing MSPExposure to a wide range of technologies and environmentsIf you’re a confident, capable
