3rd Line IT Engineer

WeDoData are working with a forward-thinking further education college group who are split between 2 campuses who are looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their Systems and Innovation team, providing expert technical support and helping shape the future of the IT infrastructure.The RoleAs a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will act as the senior technical escalation point for complex IT issues, supporting a diverse infrastructure of on-prem and cloud-based technologies. You''ll work closely with several departments across the college, lead technical problem-solving, contribute to infrastructure projects, and ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and fit for purpose.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the escalation point for complex 2nd and 3rd line technical issues.Support and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP environments.Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications.Monitor infrastructure performance, backups, patching and disaster recovery solutions.Support virtualisation platforms and cloud services.Participate in infrastructure upgrades, digital transformation projects and continuous service improvement.Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.Work collaboratively with internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver high-quality IT services.Essential RequirementsSignificant experience in a 3rd Line Support or Infrastructure Support role.Strong knowledge of ..... full job details .....
