3PL Warehouse Manager

Altrincham | up to £50,000 | Mon – Fri 8:30 – 17:30

Join our clients expanding business as a 3PL Warehouse Manager and lead the daily operations of our fast-paced warehouse. You’ll ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of goods while delivering top-tier service to clients. This leadership role offers the chance to shape processes, develop teams, and contribute to strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations: receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching.
  • Maintain accurate inventory using CargoWise WMS; resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Allocate labour, equipment, and space to meet client demands.
  • Oversee returns processing and quality control procedures.
  • Recruit, train, and develop warehouse staff; conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations in partnership with H&S Manager.
  • Build strong client relationships; provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs; implement improvements as needed.
  • Lead onboarding for new clients and support operational integration.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT on tech upgrades and automation initiatives.

What you’ll need

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse/logistics, ideally in a 3PL setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in WMS (CargoWise preferred).
  • Solid understanding of health & safety compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in improving operations and meeting KPIs.

  • Annual leave; 31 days (prorated down if not working 5 days). Increases after 3 years service by 1 day a year, up to a further 5 days
