Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced, highly skilled 360 Excavator Operator (Above 10 Tonne) to join an active construction and earthworks development in Hartlepool. We are partnering with an established civil engineering contractor requiring an attentive plant operator to take charge of heavy excavation, trenching, and site preparation works.

The Role

• Machine Operation: Operating 360-degree tracked excavators (above 10 tonnes) safely and efficiently across busy civil engineering and construction environments.

• Excavation & Earthworks: Carrying out bulk earthworks, deep trenching for drainage, foundations, grading, muck-away, and precision battering to levels.

• Utility & Site Safety: Working around live underground services, adhering strictly to safe digging practices, banksperson signals, and utility avoidance protocols.

• Plant Maintenance: Carrying out daily pre-start plant checks, grease schedules, maintaining machine cleanliness, and reporting any defects promptly.

• Site Coordination: Working alongside groundworkers, site engineers, and site management to keep project program milestones on schedule.

Requirements

• Plant Ticket: Valid CPCS or NPORS card for 360 Excavator (Above 10 Tonne - Tracked) is mandatory.

• Experience: Proven track record operating heavy 360 excavators on civil engineering, deep drainage, or major earthworks projects.

• PPE: Full standard 5-point PPE (Hard Hat, High-Vis Vest/Jacket, Safety Boots, Gloves, and Safety Glasses).

• Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working as part of a busy civils team.

• Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
